Welcome!
My name is Sara, I’m the wife of Bryce Shuman, the mother of our two boys, Stirling and Declan, and the creator of this blog. My biggest dream in life is to create a homestead where we can continue learning to be more self-sufficient throughout our lives and raise our boys to honor God, themselves, and the land. I think it is extremely important to know where your food comes from, how it is treated, and to make better choices as you are able. All growth is gradual and as long as you’re trying to improve, I you’re making progress – and so are we!
I’m currently a SAHM and recently left the dental field as a Dental Hygienist for 7 years. The beauty of my field, allows me to work as a substitute and fill in at various offices when needed as long as my license is maintained. I completed my 200 hour yoga teacher training in 2016, and an introductory course in herbalism with the Herbal Academy of New England. For this season in life, we have decided staying home is best for our family. I’ve been on a whirlwind journey to learn as much as I can on safe ways to maintain the home, prepare meals, and herbal remedies when we can.
We are hoping to continue growing the biodiversity of our homestead, plan on homeschooling our children, and want to grow even closer in our faith!
Thank you so much for your precious time and we hope you join us in our journey!
