My Latest Misfits Market Box

We recently received another produce box from Misfits Market. I am so excited for this box, as most of the ingredients are exactly what we need this week. If you haven’t checked out our review of Misfits, make sure to check it out here! We have continued to subscribe and enjoy our boxes and I definitely plan on sticking with their service. Colds and sinus issues have run wild in our house for the past week and I am definitely down for the count. Soup, stew, hearty bread and all the comfort foods are what’s on the menu.

I have no desire to go to the store and stock up on root vegetables and thanks to our Misfits Market box, I don’t have to! The only ‘shopping’ I have to do for tonights beef stew is in our basement pantry. Two cans of bone broth, two lbs of grass-fed stew meat, and a slew of root vegetables and leafy greens and I’m all set to make a simple, nutritious supper. It’s currently after 4:00 PM and I haven’t started anything yet, but thanks to our InstaPot, I know it will still be ready by normal suppertime! (5:30 PM)

If you purchase from any of our Amazon Affiliate links we receive a small commission while you still pay the same price! This just helps us continue doing what we love!

For some reason, whenever I’m sick I develop quite the sweet tooth, so some apple crumb will serve as our dessert. (Find my crumb recipe here!)

Two heads of romaine lettuce fits perfectly in the half gallon sized Stasher bag, and we will definitely have that with our soup tonight as well!

Our box included two bundles of rainbow Swiss chard (my favorite!) and I plan on garnishing the soup with some freshly chopped leaves. The stalks will be diced and used in replace of celery. We also got carrots, garlic, potatoes, turnips, onions that will get tossed into the pot tonight, with much more for us to use over the next several days!

You can receive your first box of fresh, organic produce at a discount using our referral code! This also gives our family a discount on future boxes, too! COOKWME-LB4JCJ
They recently started allowing our area to create a more customized box by adding in select items, letting them know fruits and vegetables we prefer, and letting them know ones we do not!

Check out tomorrow’s blog for our overnight, crusty bread recipe! Only 4 ingredients and super easy to make!
